3. Sour Patch Kids. I've told y'all this before, I keep a bag on me at all times!

4. My job. Although it has its highs and lows, I truly love teaching. 

5. Bella. She is the most spoiled, stubborn, and clumsy Basset Hound, and we love her! 

 6. Christmas. It's my favorite time of year. I love being with family, looking at Christmas lights, the cold weather, wearing warm colorful socks, cozy sweaters, and all the yummy food!

7. My precious girl friends.

9. Good red wine. Geyser Peak Cabernet Sauvignon is our current favorite!

10. Blogging. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started blogging. I am SO thankful for the life long friendships that I've made!

12. Skiing. I love that it is something that GH and I both enjoy!

1. Have you ever gone to see a movie by yourself? Yes, I have seen several movies by myself. I was a little afraid at first, because I was worried about what people would think of me for being alone. Now, I could care less! I actually enjoy going alone! I usually go see the girlie movies that I know GH wouldn't want to watch!

2. Would you rather go through a tornado or a hurricane?

Hurricane. In most cases you're given enough time to pack and leave for a hurricane. Tornadoes, not so much.

3. have you made summer vacation plans?

We are going some where to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary at the end of June! We would like to take another trip, but it all depends when I hear about my job situation.

4. What's your favorite accessory {can't be jewelry}?

 A fabulous pair of shoes!

5. Have you ever been thrown a surprise party?

Nope. I would love for GH someone to throw me one on my 30th!

6. Are you friends with your neighbors?

No. We have met some of them and we have nothing in common. 

7. What's the last movie you saw in the theater?

It's been a while! Umm...Hubs and I saw RED sometime last fall!

8. What's your favorite Food Network show?

where has the time gone?

I can't believe it's been a week since my last post. 

I went through my mountain of magazines this weekend.

I have 15 unread magazines that have come in the mail since April. {there are only 13 pictured because 2 more arrived after I took the photo}. Maybe it's time that I begin scaling back on my subscriptions!

We had a lovely weekend, but I didn't take a single picture. I think it's because I need a new camera. hint. hint. sweet hubs ;)

We went to Austin for lunch on Saturday at Pappadeaux!

After lunch we headed to Cabela's... that place is insane! I love that they sell funnel cakes out side!

After Cabela's we spent some time with my family! It was so good to see them!

I am so proud of the Dallas Mavericks! We can't wait to cheer them on in the Western Conference Finals!

We found out yesterday that the Federal Government gave 830 million to the state of Texas to help save or create education jobs for next school year! The district I work in got 3.6 million. Also, I was told that my principal, assistant principal, and a lady from our district office said they will do anything to see that I'm one of the ones that they bring back! 

That is the best news we've gotten since March!

I'm loving that today is Wednesday! I took Monday off, so today feels like Tuesday to me...I'm so glad that it's not though!

I'm loving that we're getting serious with our budget to pay off some debt and save for a vacation this Christmas!

I'm loving that Something Borrowed is coming to theaters this weekend!

 

I'm loving the fact that we only have 4 more weeks of school until summer break!

I'm loving these dresses!

As always, I'm loving my wonderful husband!

DBM recap

I had a blast at the Dallas Blogger Meetup this past weekend! Thank you Neely for putting this fabulous weekend together!

Katie and I got to our hotel just in time to check in and then meet all the girls for dinner! I was too busy chatting and didn't take any pics! Thank goodness other girls did!

The Margaritas at Mattitos were pretty good! 

The only downside to the weekend was when 3 girls decided not to pay their bill for dinner in full and the rest of us had to pitch in after they skipped out. That's what you do when you're raised with manners and southern hospitality. 

Katie and I were so tired that we decided to sleep in on Saturday! We slept until 10 and then watched the Royal Wedding on TLC!

I am SO sad that we didn't make it to brunch on Saturday because I really wanted to meet Laura! We have to meet up the next time we're in the same city!

Neely, Amber, Liz, and Ashley picked us up Saturday afternoon for some shopping at NorthPark! 

We love the Mavs!

What shopping trip with Neely isn't complete without a pair of Tory Burch shoes?

After shopping we went to Sprinkles! GH says it's my version of heaven! Even Lindsey made it! 

I was a good mom and brought some cupcakes home for Bella!

Saturday evening we went to dinner at Victor Tangos!

Katie and I couldn't make up our minds so we decided to share the Carnitas Tacos 

and the Crab Mac and Cheese! The mac and cheese was amazing!

After dinner we went to Barcadia, where I beat Neely at Skee Ball!

I loved meeting Kelsey! I hope we can meet up again when they come to SA later this month!
