Pumpkin Bread




For the bread:

3 ½ c. flour
1 c. oil
4 eggs
2  cans pumpkin {real pumpkin, not the pumpkin pie mix}
2/3 c. water
3 c. sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1 ½  tsp. salt
3 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:

Mix together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar.

 In a separate bowl, mix together oil, eggs, water, and pumpkin. Combine both bowls and mix well.

Grease and flour to loaf pans, divide batter evenly into both. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Once the bread has cooled, top with cream cheese icing.

For the icing:

1 stick butter, softened
1 pound powdered sugar
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
½ tsp. vanilla
orange food coloring

Directions:

Mix everything together in a mixer. Add as much food coloring as needed.

I make pumpkin bread this time of the year all of the time...when I saw the 'orange' on top, I was curious and 'oh it's food coloring' ok, gotcha, happy pumpkin bread eating, yum, yum, I am a follower of your blog...enjoy it!
