We bought our first home!

Our awesome realtor found this house for us right before it went on the market. He took us to see it the first day it was on the market. We walked in and knew it was our home. We put in an offer than night and the following day the sellers countered and we accepted! 

We are closing on March 13th! I promise to post pictures once we move in!

We had our inspection last week and the sellers have agreed to fix all but 4 of the things we asked for and for those four items, they are giving us an allowance so we can pick out the ones we want! 

Some of my favorite things about our first home:

• tons of mature oak trees in the front and back
• large kitchen
• real hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallway
• it has a bonus room/den so GH can have his "man room"
• walk in closet in the master {that's hard to come by in older, ranch style homes}
• huge fireplace that you can walk all the way around and it separates the living room from the dinning room
• it has a cute front porch that I can't wait to buy some rocking chairs for

I can't believe how great this process has been. God is so good. We are blessed that He has provided us with such a great first home!

It's OK...

to not blog for a while. House hunting has taken over our lives the last month. We found a house that we loved, put in an offer the next day, negotiated back and forth and the seller wouldn't come down on the price. We decided on a maximum number and we have stuck by it. The perfect house is out there!

to contemplate either washing my hair or shaving my legs before work. Yesterday, shaving my legs won.

to drink three 12 packs of Coke Zero a week.

to get excited about going grocery shopping. 

to be jealous of people that get more than 20 minutes for lunch.

to be a homebody. I swear, the older I get, the more I just want to stay at home. I'm too old to party like I used to.

to go running while my sweet hubby fills up my car with gas and unloads and loads the dish washer. He's a keeper for sure!

I'm in love...

So, a certain something has been on my birthday and Christmas wish list for a couple of years now! If you follow me on the twit, then you saw my present last night!

Before we left for dinner last night, GH told me that I would have to open my Christmas present from him on Saturday morning before his parents came because he had to explain it to me. I tried to get him to tell me what the heck he meant, but he wouldn't. He just told me that if I wanted, I could open it before we left for dinner.

I was in shock when I saw what was in the box. Glenn is the BEST gift giver! Once I realized it was for real, I may or may not have cried. Just sayin! 

I need your help! What camera bag do I buy? What camera strap do you recommend? A lot of you on twitter told me about Kelly Moore bags.

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. My most favorite "little thing" is going to breakfast on Saturday mornings.

2. I give anything to fast forward to next year when we buy a house!

3. I can't believe the first semester of school is over. This year has flown by! Having such wonderful administrators has been the biggest blessing.

4. The one thing I'd like to achieve today is to make it through our last day before Christmas break!

5. The last thing I want to do today is bake another cookie. I baked 5 dozen cookies last night for our class Christmas party today.

6. If I were writing my own blank today, it would say what are your favorite games to play on couples/family night?

7. My favorite candle sent is well, I'm a bit of a Tyler's Candle snob, so I only buy their candles. My favorite Winter scent is Christmas Cheer {which has been discontinued}, I love Limelight for the Spring and Summer, and Mulled Cider for Fall! Some other faves are Snickerdoodle, Fleur-de-Lis, and Pineapple Crush!
